adding rails to a PPSH

Postby orange hat » Mon Nov 28, 2011 2:24 pm

I was thinking about buying a S&T PPSH but, I can't mount my red dot on it. I was thinking about using the heat shield and a m4 hand guard rails with an extension to span the wide holes in the heat shield. Is it worth it or just go with a run of the mil M4 with a rail system.

Are you trying to do this?

Guy used wire to affix his EOTech & Surefire vertical grip to his PPSH.

Personally, I don't care for the look. I like my Russian guns to be old-school.

1: Thread title is retarded (Raling isn't a word, and 'railing' tends to carry other connotations): try "Adding a rail to a PPSH"
2: I Interpret your post as "should I modify a PPSH to take an optic or buy an m4 with a RIS" which implies that those are your only options. There are a LOT of various types of guns out there that could mount your red dot, so the M4 isn't your only option.
3: PPSH isn't meant to have an optic, if you want something super-modular that you can mount whatever you want to, you probably are better off with an M4.

Android: Wow that thing is ugly.

FWIW Android, that's not a surefire grip. Looks like a KAC vert with an M6x.
