Well that depends on if you're buying your tactical pants from Nordstrom.

Tan cargo pants from 5.11 or other "tactical" styled pants, bdu's, etc. are pretty available wherever you go.

Exactly but you don't walk into a store and see a special on afghan pants. Plus it's easier to get tan dress pants because it's easier to tell my parents that it would be good for special occasions rather then tell them I need pants to look like an Afghani for an airsoft game.
