MM was allowed one squad on each HVT prior to start of phase 2.

yep as a "Attack and defend" mission it had to be done that way.

Riddick wrote:Nobody started early. I don't know why some of the USRF players are saying this. The Mehdi commander goofed and told his guys to go but quickly retracted and had them reset. Admins made sure everyone was holding in the correct place and confirmed via radio. Then when it was ready game on was called and everyone went. I was by the road by the arms dealer and nobody came over the hill until about 20 to 30 seconds after game on was called.

I did not see a single player respawn forward of his respawn area. I ran ccp during phase 2 and everytime I saw people walking back all the way to respawn. Phase 1 I don't know about but if they were to cheat I would think it would be the other way around since by phase 2 people would be tired.

The almost 2:1 odds is what hurt you guys the most due to drop outs and flakes. Not the hard respawn, not the log fort placement being off a little on the map.

To permanently fix the map issues I am going to gps all the spots before summer slaughter and then mark them on google earth so this way everyone will know exactly where they are.

Whoever starts on the south side of the village will always have the high ground advantage due to the terrain of the field -which we cannot control-. There isn't a good respawn area NE of where your base was. At all times the mehdi would have the high ground but they should. They controlled the area as you guys were the attackers in this case per the storyline.

Yeah, I knew about the guys starting in the missile sites, it was just that 10ish guys came upon us a few minutes before game on was called. :) Just a communication issue probably. No sweat.

I agree the hardest part was the 2-1. I think it was totally realistic to have them hold the high ground, it was just that we would have been able to be over the top of the edge before they got there had we been able to scout out the trails. Again...no worries. I am not complaining, just post game analyzing.

I think the best respawn would have been the out of bounds orchard above White 6..., but I understand that we can't have everything.

All-in-all, thank you very much for the game Riddick. My team really enjoyed it.

I forgot to mention...the tank was really cool looking. Not sure how huge of an asset it was, but certainly an awesome prop.

By my observation, the APC was a huge asset for whichever side happened to have it. A quick anecdote re the tank, It was travelling the top orchard road when it came on a 20ish sized group of multi cam devils. The group en masse turned and sprinted into the nettles to avoid certain death. The psychological effect of the APC was great, I think that the gunner was able to shoot 1 of them. The rest knew what they faced and wisely fled. The APC acts as a scare crow if you will, it keeps the "crows" away from where you do not want them.

If that was a no fire zone, then I apologize that for firing in there. In my defense, i was just following orders. ;)

For next time...If this "no fire zone" Can be clearly noted on the map as a " No fire zone" it would help. There was a lot of stuff to remember.

I think this instance was with my group. We had 10 guys (if I remember right). We didn't flee. We just moved out of the line of fire. Once the tank moved away, we came back, killed a bunch of untrained milita, took the 2 sectors, and survived a second APC assault. Only then did the batteries in my box mag die and I had to take the long walk back. I was very proud of my squad for that particular time. They held their cool very well, and took care of buisness...

Also, we weren't multicam devils. We were in desert MARPAT... which is so much sexier.

The whole TOG squad had a great time at this match. Phase 1 was tiring and hot but we still pushed on with our missions. While you guys are complaining about respawn, remember that the further we pushed our way towards your (USRF) spawn, the further we had to walk back when we die. I personally had to walk it 4 times and it was hot while uphill both ways. In response to the false start, yes we did accidentally start a little early from spawn but we stopped and moved back before any serious false start occurred.

Phase 2 was awesome. It was more action packed with the smaller teams and localized fights. The cloud cover helped with the heat. Day 2 was even more fun. Thank you Riddick for the good game and the stories to tell. Looking forward for more games to come.
