You aren't... I am fairly bushed though with even all of the WW2 under my belt.

Overall I'd say it was a solid event, and the refs definitely had good heads on their shoulders.

And ya know what guys? I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with long rifles - ala M14 or something - for the main gun. It just feels... Natural. :)

Had fun today, tired as hell.

The respawn idea was great and it worked well. There was never any confusion about when to respawn or how many. Every 15 minutes made it really simple.

Great game today. We got our asses handed to us, but I knew I'd be in for a good fight against Pharoah6. He's always been a professional at games.

I heard a lot of people complaining to me about hacking, but asking the CAG guys after the game, they said the admins were on it and swarming, calling people out after getting peppered. Props to the admins on the hacking control.

I didn't come with my A game and Pharoah did. My ride didn't answer his phone and I had to find rides for 3 people so I didn't arrive at the field until about 10:00 and was put almost instantly out on the field.

I would have liked a better pregame briefing and setting up time, as I didn't know half the guys on the team and we didn't have our squads or radios set up before they started pulling guys from the spawn and placing them in random spots. This also made us quickly choose Demo and Engineer slots, most of which disappeared into the fray after 5 minutes into the game.

Also I was told that we'd be putting people in the different sectors and that was changed to a 30 yard line dealio, not giving me time to put singles and day-of-shows out in squads. Also it was before we had squads and radios set up so the only radios we had all day that were reliable were the TriSquares CAG was using.

I'd like to say props to Jellomaster in leading teams up the Western edge and to APST who was mowing us down all day towards Hobo Camp.

The Black Marketeer system, though inventive, could use some work and I'd say probably just scrap it for future events, as 1 hour into the game we were dominating the field and Juicemachine's red army walked up behind us and mowed down our entire offensive line.

Also I'd like a secure way for the commanders to know when the game started. I was told we began by some guys coming back with death rags that were placed by admins.

The 15 minute respawns were an interesting gameplay mechanic that seemed to really nerf the Fragistani method of charging into and out of battle as well as CAG's quick turnaround times that have really helped us in the past.

So great job APST, JelloMaster and everyone else who showed up to play. A few guys in the unknown group surprised me, such as Willis (?) and Reverend.Reckless.

Overall, it was fun and as always I picked up a few lessons that I can hopefully use next time. The Lord of War series is 3 parts and now we're 1:1. Time for the penimate finale!

There are always tweaks to be made to events, but I'm here to tell you that the overall sportsmanship and hit calling were far above my expectation.

We (the admin staff) had a great time keeping the field on lockdown. It's all about the fun, and today I believe that a lot of fun was had.

There are so many people I spoke with throughout the day. It was a good time to speak with each one of you, and wish I could have rocked a few more conversations with those I wasn't able to.

I want to say "thank you" to all that came out and putting up with some new gameplay mechanics I installed in this second edition to the LoW series. I truly hope this game was up to your expectations, and hope we didn't let you guys down in the administration aspect of the event. We did the best we could to manage the field. I know there were a few issues, but even on our best day we can't anywhere near perfect.

Thanks again, and behalf of Black Sierra, we had a great time today.

Not to be a bastard, but you might have had that set up time and radios if you'd been there earlier.... When I showed up at 0820, my CO was there to greet me. You solved the problem you were talking about in the paragraph before it.

As to "nerfing your playstyle"--adapt?

To all the game designers and admins--I had a great time time today, thank you. To P6--you mentioned in our private forums you'd take me as an XO next time even though you didn't really know me. If that offer is ever open again, I will would gladly honor your request. Dude, it was neat to see you all working.

Good admin staff, enforced established rules, resolved conflicts etc etc etc.

Field is janky with sinker holes that are unmarked. Someone added twigs to "mark" it, but IMHO it's not good enough and a safety hazard.

I wasn't complaining on the game playing style, just an observation.

As per the early arrival, yes. I was ready to leave the house at 0715 and my ride turned off his phone.

Long story short, I didn't bring my A game and hopefully we'll do better at LoW III.

Where did all of the green grenades at the end come from? We could have used those earlier...

gotta say, that was one of the best games ive been to. SOTA definitely did their job of harassing the Mahdi BM team and the large firefights were pretty amazing. Great job Rick, keep at it. Your games are fantastic.

Great admin staff, helpful (and a pain when mortars started coming in). Had an amazing time spraying cheap plastic with EDG, enjoyed being an engineer.

The 15 minute respawn was amazing. Unlike "okay guys, respawn soon/3 guys to respawn...but lets all go out together as a team of 10" that I've heard at other games, the wait made waves really tough to fight against, made it easy to gain ground (and then lose it). It also got people humping back to spawn in a timely manner (although I missed it by 1mike two times in a row) and kept people from "smokin' and jokin'" at spawn for extended periods of time.

Extremely pumped to take the field again at LoW III.

Thank you Riddick and all the Admin/Staff!

Well, to be fair, you did have a standing order to kill me on sight.

Lolairsoftandschool. Yay for video, though.

My personal notes:

I had a great time. I got my a$$ kicked. Shamus's team played better than I did. That said, I had a great time hanging out with Sodak, Timmy, Voodoo, and others all day, and bleeding shit up.

Mehdi-Sorry for the whole, you know, murdering you all with 15 minutes left thing. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I had no idea that my people would start shooting people in the face at 10 feet. I take responsibility for letting incompetent people do that kind of shit.

Rick and the admin staff, thanks for a great game. I always have fun acting, and you know I'm down for the next one (if you still want me).

Had a blast but my feet are paying me back now. I enjoyed the change of pace the mercenary role provided, walking through battles to wheel and deal was good times. Glad Bill and BSP kept on top of things and enjoyed all aspects of the game play Riddick, thank you all gentlemen. I must say watching Pharaoh 6 in action was a thing of poetry in motion, good job making something prone to difficulty look so easy.
Thanks to all of Hamas for the great teamwork which led us to our marketeer victory it was a blast alpha and bravo.
To my old friends it was good to see you all and it was great to make some new ones!
