What a great game it was. I enjoyed the non-goat related posts because it really was one of the best games I have been to in Oregon. At around noon the action peaked as the NATO base was surrounded and smoke grenades were going off. The action was perfect because everyone was in range of line of site. I think that field is going to make for some great games in the future.
I had an idea about communication that might help. Just a suggestion. Imagine a spawn point that was equipped with an a large map with lots of names for field positions. Next to the map would be a radio keyed in to the "update on field conditions". This would be a dedicated channel for listening only. No chatter, just let one person be the voice. There might be one for each team and one person broadcasting updates on the channel. And both sides should be "honor bound" to stick to their own channels. If the updates were current and up to date, it would be a continuous source of tactical updates for anyone on and off the field. Plus, it would be something anyone with a radio could tune in to for intel. I have been out on small "spec ops" type missions for 30-60 minutes but have no idea what is going on at base. If I were out and things get quiet I could tune in to the channel and get updated on current objectives and situations from central source. Just a thought....
