Your AK47 will be fine, the FPS limits for an assault rifle at our game is 400fps.

Only SMG platforms are limited to the indoor FPS of 330. Such SMG's will include but are not limited to MP5, UMP, Thompson, etc.

The Mp5 is an SMG, and as such is relegated to the CQC velocity. If you can't make it shoot 330 or less, then don't bring it. Not really that difficult.

You can only use your MP5 if it is shooting at 330 or under, because it is a SMG.

SMGs do not have the range and accuracy of rifles, they use pistol caliber ammunition and tend to have shorter barrels. since all airsoft guns use the same ammunition, the only way to control for different capabilities is with velocity limits.

It does not matter what YOU use your MP5 for. An MP5 is classified as an SMG therefore if you want to use it at this game then you have to make sure it conforms to the limits of this game.

Why would u have to regulate FPS if its outdoors depending on the rifle? I would just assume anything under 400fps would be fine. Does it really matter because of the inaccuracy? Is it just a safety issue? I'm just a little confused.

It is a realism issue. that is the reason that more games are moving towards disallowing hi cap magazines.

Since in the real world a submachine gun cannot match the range and accuracy of a rifle, that is replicated in this game by limiting FPS.

A DMR is going to be made with higher tolerances than a typical assault rifle, which will result in greater range and accuracy, this is simulated by allowing for a higher FPS, but for safety and game play reasons they cannot fire full auto and have a minimum engagement distance.

You kids are trippin. The FPS rules are really simple.
If your gun is an SMG replica, then it needs to shoot 330fps or less.
If your gun is an automatic that in real life shoots a rifle cartridge (AK, M4, M16, AUG, FAL, G3, etc), it needs to shoot 400fps or less.
If your gun is physically limited to semi-automatic, you may class as a DMR and shoot up to 475.
If your gun is a bolt action replica, it may shoot up to 550fps.

I'm of the opinion that if you can't understand the rules, or try to circumvent them, then you should not attend. These rules are for a certain crowd (I like this rule set, and will try to incorporate them in an upcoming event I'm planning).
