M4 Metal Body question

Postby Grease » Sat Jan 30, 2010 7:36 pm

Simple question (I hope)

Does it matter what brand of body I buy for a CA M4?

Most aftermarket bodies should work... Any in particular?

You should buy the MadBull one. Any AEG aftermarket bodies should fit. Cheaper chinese ones will take more tricksy-work to make them fit correctly.

Could you expound, please? I'm not trying to argue, I'm genuinely curious.

The new Madbull metal reciever comes with the all new design hop chamber, and only costs $99 at redwolf.
The G&P ones cost over $103 with so-so hop chamber, King arms ones are over $130..
Chinese ones are the pain..need hammer, set of screw drivers, strong both hands and lots of ky/lube just to have the reciever pins to go in :(

They're inexpensive compared to other metal bodies, and since they include the Ultimate Hop-Up, it comes out to a very good value.

The ones I have installed had very precise fit and finish, with no issues on parts compatibility or fit. The quality is good, with no unfinished or rough edges, even on the inside of the body. They don't include the charging handle or dust cover, but they do include their own flora pin and trigger-guard roll pin to insure correct fit.

The only downside is they connect at the back with metal pins instead of a fatter nub or lip, but it shouldn't be a huge issue if you're not putting it together roughly.

Fit, finish, price.

Also, they're licensed with many different manufacturers, so you get a real Noveske or Daniel Defense or PWS or other marked receiver without worrying about tape or sharpie or customs, and the markings are actually engraved instead of just laser engraved, so they're very good looking.
