AIM, AIMs, G&G, CYMA.

As some of you may know, im a fan of AKs. I find them super sexy and cheap.

Ive been working on converting my Dboys AK 74 into a AIM or AKM as some may say.
Its almost done, ive got a few more parts to place onto it andit shall be complete.

Now over the past few months ive looked into a AIMs. I was looking into a cyma version due to the price tag. I was also looking at the G&G one.

The two main concerns with the cyma one are the fact that the paint jobs on them totally suck. But i can fix this, as i have done so with my two DBOYs.

Another problem I am concerned about is the mag capatibility with other mags. Ive watched a few online videos and a few of them mention that only the mag that came with it will feed. No other mags will work with it.. But im not to sure on if i should beieve it or not, and realy, thats the main reason i am considering a G&G. But if that proves to be false, i will purchase the cyma version.

So thats the main reason i am not considering the purchase of the cyma.

Can someone prove, or comfirm that the CYMA version works with other mags?

I used lots of brands of mags in a CYMA AKM. The only brands I can remember were MAG and TM though. My G&G Rk103 didnt work with really ANY mags though.... But my G&G Rk47 was fine with most if not all.

Wel, see thats the problem, The CYMA AIMs is built different from all those mags, and wont accept others, at least thats what ive heard.

many CYMA AK series use the metal hop up, I think that is the reason why some of the mags don't fit it right.
The surface of my cyma AKMS looks alright, the pistol grip is kind of weak tho.

Get king arms AK47 110rd mid-caps, they are really great magazines.

There is no wobble in the magwell with the KA mags.

I have come up with a plan, i will be buying the CYMA AIMs and getting some STAR 30 RND AK47 mags, i will see if they fit, if they dont, i will mod it til it does, i will try the hop up first, as i have a few plastic ones laying around.
