AEG motor tabs coming loose

Postby league 4 » Tue Mar 30, 2010 5:15 pm

The wiring in my SR16 that connects to the motor keeps coming off during shooting, I'm guessing the motor tabs are a little thinner than G&P's or something. But is there any way that works particularly well besides permanently doing it? I tried just squeezing them with pliers but they still come off pretty easily...

Squeeze the foldy parts in with some pliers gently. That should fix it. If it didn't work, you need to make sure you're using needlenose pliers and just squeezing in the parts that fold back down. Don't be afraid to make them touch.

If they're soft and flexible enough that they come un-bent after you bend them, you can get new connectors at Airsoft Outlet NW.

I've never had an issue tightening them up, though.

I solder mine on M4/M16 so they dont come off. Personal preference. If you want yours soldered let me know and we can arrange a time for you to pop over and I will do it for free.

I prefer not to do that because I open my guns up a lot. But I just tightened them a ton and taped then on the motor with electrical tape and I think it's working....

Don't know bout that tape . The motor has to bounce in the grip . The tape may get in the way . Hope it works for you . Squeezing should work alone . But if it needs more, soldering is gonna help too .
