vfc "E" series gearbox?

Postby Arbiter » Thu Sep 16, 2010 9:02 pm

Now, I have herd mixed reviews of this gearbox but none of these complaints/compliments are constructive or specific. I want to know from some one who owns one of these what your honest opinion is on the Internals and externals. ;)

Externals of a gearbox?

But I like the internals. People complain about the self shimming gears, but to be honest I've never heard of anyone ever having problems with them. The cylinder didn't fit any of my other gearboxes and I couldn't fit any of my other cylinders in the gearbox, though. The VFC one was shorter. Here is a good video on the gearbox:

What gun? The VFC M4 E series gearbox is in the VFC M4's and the SOCOM gear ones, maybe others.

They are prety decent, There is only one self shimming gear and its the spur gear in the "E" series VFC.
The piston is great for lipos, however has a slower motor than most modern AEG's. Its a good buy in my opinion.

Mine has a small spring on the sector gear too.
