And folks, there ya have it!

I've heard fairly positive reviews of the G&P LMG series, but they are a bit pricey, and do use a V2 gearbox.

Proto-typed, It was never actually made. There were massive issues with the bolt carrier group that needed to be corrected that they didn't want to put the time and money in to developing. Instead they have this: H&K 23E and developed this H&K MG4 which is currently in use with the German Military as it's SAW.


I thought they gave up on it because they just love their MG3 too much :D

The only issue I've ever has with my CA M249 was a rigger lock. The metal strip on the trigger switch got bent which cause it to stick in the on position. Just re bent it to it's original shape and it's fine now.

actually, i had heard the MG36 was abandoned because the c-mag malfunctioned all the time.

And because the receiver had melting issues at certain spots, plus the bolt, and the barrel.
