Ive never really been a DIY upgrade guy when it comes to airsoft. the G&G i like because it seems durable, reliable, good quality, and its wired for a crane stock battery. And it comes with a tightbore.

IIRC, nunchuck batteries don't fit in crane stocks.
I'd suggest getting http://www.ebairsoft.com/firefox-2300ma ... -1536.html since it will work (what I have in my crane stock).

I haven't had any issues with my G&P defender (its stock save for the TBB I added) and its going on 20k rounds. My G&P M16 blew up the gears and piston, but I bought it used with an unknown round count, and then put 30K+ through it myself with no issues (till assplosion of parts). The gears and piston have been fine in my G&P Mk46 as well, the hop up had an issue that was solved with replacing it. Personally, I'd still suggest G&P over a G&G just because I've had more experience with them. Granted I've had parts blow up on them, but buying any gun and expecting it to work forever is pretty shortsighted and retarded ;)

When I think of nunchuck batteries, I think of
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ucts_id=62
Where it has a wire connecting the two parts in the back. Looks like the norm nowadays is to run the connecting wire at the top with the connector, so you can put it in crane stocks.

I've never seen a battery like that before, actually.

Anyway, I think people generally think of these when they think of nunchucks. It's what I had in my crane stock.

Before it died, somehow...

If he wants a G&G let him get one, there is nothing wrong with a G&G. Use the extra money for mags, Batteries and BBs.

I personally would rather go with a G&G as well. It is cheaper and I don't need such a fancy looking paper weight. I would only use the Gun like once every 4 months, if that.

I would however, invest into a new barrel, the G&G appear to be Aluminum.

Except the G&P gun I linked was cheaper than the original gun he wants...

The cheaper option he linked (the desert defender whatever) has a plastic receiver.

I absolutely adore my G4-A1, I don't know what you guys are talking about when you say G&P is better than G&G, seeing as I've shot about 35k through my G&G with the only upgrade being a stiffer spring. Also, the gears in my G&G came shimmed to perfection. I would go with the G4 all the way if you want a quality gun that will be reliable, and isn't too heavy. Also, if you decide to get the G4, get it in black seeing as GI stocks different uppers (only in black) that you can just swap out if you decide you want to play CQB one day, then field the next weekend.

Another quality option is the ARES M4-A1, I was actually looking at that one for a second platform, here's a link: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6791

Jester, is the G&P you linked me wired for crane stock? I absolutely abhor the handguard battery setup, and its the main reason i tend to shy away from M4's.
