I use to have an M249. What brand do you have? Mine came pre-wired to the front and I used some Systema Low-Resistance wire to do it. Any information would help :)

It's a Echo1 with the full stock and stock internals wiring too.

Eh I'm not too familiar with the E1 M249. Lemme do a bit of research on the differences.

Well looks like your going to have to get a new wiring harness for it. Something like this http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info ... s_id=31722

Though I wouldn't buy from evike that gives you a general idea.

Take it to Jesse at AirSoft Outlet NW and have him do the rewire. He is a great M249 Airsmith.

Just wondering. Why would he need a new harness?

From what I see. All of the parts needed to rewire his weapon could be obtained at a hobby store or maybe even Home Depot. Other then the plugs of-course and a pair of wire strippers/crimpers. All for a few dollars.

After i finish the project i will put up pictures for others.
When the replica was manufactured it was drilled with two holes as the Para and Mkll model use the same body. So the rewire will take some extra wire and run it from a slot in the back over the gearbox into another slot on the side of the hop-up to a slot under it. Thanks again everyone.

Its my opinion that E-1 and the guns it rebrands have terrible wiring. Every time I buy one of their guns it has electrical problems. Maybe its just me though and I had a bunch of crappy wire sets. Regardless I think its just a good time to change out the stock harness if I were to take the time to change the wiring route. Call me nitpicky but I'd rather mess with it once then do it again on a later day ;)
