i have a couple of questions on gear: modifacations on my beta spetsnaz for range, acuracy and am willing to trade RPM for those. next i am looking for a decent gun cam to put on it. and i have heard about paratrooper helmets that dont stick out more than half an inch. anyone know if that is true? Do you have a link?

So, you are looking for upgrades for a beta spetznaz AK? Range and accuracy will be better served by a longer gun. Beta Spez's are short, tiny guns meant for CQC and close in battles.


And you are looking for a gun cam, or a thing to mount the cam on? Where does the paratrooper helmet come in?

What brand Spetz? While the upgrades for range and accuracy would help, the effect will be less pronounced than on a longer rifle. That being said, Guarder bucking, an H-nub, and tight bore of your choice (I prefer 6.03). I would go with that, see how it's suiting you, then decide if you want to do anything more drastic (i.e. spring).

I would try piece by piece to figure out what will make it shoot good.

First off, the SPETZ is not a real gun, so you can put any type of silencer on it (Real AKs cannot use just any silencer.) The reason i bring this up as the Silencer will allow you to put in a longer barrel.

First off, i would start by finding out your FPS is with a .20g, I would then move to a lower, or higher spring to being you're self I suggest a M115 spring which should bring you to about 380 if your Gear box has good compression.

I would then start by installing a Madbull Red bucking, along with the shark nub that comes with it.

Shoot about 1k rounds in your gun with this installed to see how it really is performing. Make sure to chrono it after you install and shoot the 1k. Be sure to try BBs ranging from .20g - .30g, It is proven that the heavy BBs tend to travel a bit Farther. Although the extra range of 10-20 feet might not be worth it, the accuracy will be.

If you still do not like it, i would install a Tight bore barrel (Talk to Riddick, he runs some of the Big games around here.) If you do this this should put your gun right up to 400 FPS with a .20g.

Unless it is used in conjunction with a helmet mounted camera, gun mounted cameras make for some pretty lousy footage.

thank you everyone for your advice. maybe i should have elaborated more. the spets i have is: http://pocomilitary.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=353_187_222&products_id=1406 the spets is less acurate/ranged than the full ak, i want to upgrade till equal but smaller pakage. it is currently at 430 with .2 bbs. For the cam, are there any that are button activated, ie: push button, it records. realse button, it stop record. my helmet cam slides and get 8 hours of dirt! And the helmet, i was aiming toward the ww2 german paratrooper helm, or modern. I hate when the helmet is around the corner before i am.
