Im asking you, the community, for your opinion on this seemingly badass replica that I am very interested in buying.

I've heard rumors of bad internals.

I like mine. They do a fairly good job. I have yet to encounter problems with internals, but I may just be lucky.

The internals are decent, nothing special but it could be a lot worse. I've had two A&K Masadas, never had a problem with either. Very nice externally.

I've heard more bad about the Magpul PTS Masada than the A&K version as far as internals go.

Meaning, I hear very little about A&Ks' internals being bad.

Highly recommend it, I love mine.! Internals aren't bad (although some upgrading could be used down the line), and externals are great.

Agreed, internally the Masada is fine out of the box. I'd take it to a tech though to get it properly shimmed. I ran mine for a year and a half on a 11.1v lipo with a shim job, and a sector clip being the only additions to the gearbox.
There's lots of other modifications I made to mine to address little ticks I found annoying with the gun *cough*mag catch*cough*, but it's unrelated to the OP about internal quality.

were I you, I'd save the extra $200 and buy the PTS. IMO they need the same amount of love out of the box, and the build quality on the PTS version is vastly superior.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Panzer, i would save an extra 200$ but at my current job, i make about 100$ a month. ive been saving for a while already, and i need to buy about 4 midcaps. Also, what kind of battery do I need? i only own a large type that goes into the stock of my G3, and I assume that isnt gonna fit.

Nunchucks or a small mini battery. I used an 8.4 mini brick style battery and it fit in pretty snug.

My Masada had compression issues that were fixed with a good once-over by the local tech. Just be aware spare parts (outer barrels, stocks) for the A&K are only available from Monda International (good luck trying to get a hold of them  ) so if you break something it's going to be a PITA to fix.
