KWA m4 missing part help

Postby Partiro » Fri Feb 25, 2011 2:35 am

The nut/cap, not sure what your suppose to call it, that holds the crane stock adjustment for my KWA m4 came off in Lords of War II. I tried looking for it in the KWA pro shop but couldn't find the part. Anyone have any idea how I can get this part? Or should I just contact KWA and ask them for the manufacturer's part number and order it from them.

If I look at the parts diagram online I believe it's part number 133 since part 214 looks more like a tiny screw.

This really pisses me off though considering this is not the first time that part came off but now its lost and I have to replace it. IMO it's a pretty flawed design but is probably the only con so far I have on KWA because everything else works fine.

I also have a question regarding how long it takes to order a part from KWA. I will be in Arizona in a couple of weeks so I can plan ahead when to order.

I have honestly never heard of anyone losing that part...ever. I am guessing yours was just faulty, meaning I highly suggest calling KWA about it. It is a tiny part and if this is your first problem I would bet they would replace it for free with one that isn't faulty ;).

If you want another black LE stock, I'll give it to you. Send me a PM if you are interested.

I've seen that part come off on other KWA-4s. Sounds like its time to get a Magpul stock.

Parts you'll need are:

and

You mentioned that it wasn't the first time it came off, did you tighten the set screw on it after the first time? It will come off without a tightened set screw.

This was either the 2nd or 3rd time this part came off. I never messed with the part unless I was adjusting the stock and it came off probably the 2nd time I used the gun. I thought it was weird so I screwed it back on and came home and made sure it was secure while I was cleaning my gun. I am guessing it might be a threading issue.

Another issue I found in my KWA crane stock is its starting to come loose at the connection between part 80 to 83 has come loose a bit so it wobbles and I haven't secured it yet. The washer part 83 pretty much dangles between 3-4mm of space. It might be because I am a really active person on the field and from all movement it came undone but honestly I think that shouldn't regularly happen considering the size of the thread on that part.

I love kwa and this gun performs great its just kind of odd that my parts on my stock is coming loose and it has been 1 year of usage. I guess its important to make sure all your parts are securely tightened before entering a game.

There is a long screw in your buffer tube (part 196), it has just come loose and you need to tighten it. You will need a long phillips head screwdriver and you are good to go.
The set screw is the most important part on the stock adjustment bolt, if you haven't properly tightened it then it then the nut will fall off. Don't rely on just screwing the nut on without tightening the set screw inside of it.
