M4 not firing at all... Wiring issue or related

Postby God » Sun Mar 06, 2011 1:51 pm

Hey, so, I replaced the entire wiring harness in my CA with a SHS or something assembly. Everything seems to go back together, yet when I plug a motor in, nothing happens. I think it is either the selector lever or possibly a dead wire assembly. I can not use the old wires as they're thrashed, but I could possibly move just the wires to the original harness(which had no semi). So now I'm stuck with an about $200 paperweight- Any ideas? Can someone take a picture of their fully working gb internal set-up? So I can make sure everything is where it should be. I'll post a picture in awhile.

Hi there,

so If I'm understanding this right, you replaced your entire wiring on that aeg? did it include a trigger contact assembly? Do you have a voltmeter to test for continuity? First thing to check if you dont have a voltmeter is to just connect the motor and not have it connected to the gears to see if it spins. My guess is the trigger assembly not completing the circuit (sometimes you have to pinch them together or clean off the carbonized surface if it's really old.
