Switchback, remember when I said don't post stuff you don't know about? Yea, this be one of those times...

And what, Sir, from the original post, made you think his rifle was functioning properly? I gave input, you don't agree. Instead of telling me how much I don't know, just accept that, yes, that can happen. He is using 2 piece hop up, and could be encountering that problem if the lower half is damaged.

You are correct there. If the feeding piece of the hop up is misaligned or loose, it can cause some feeding/compression issues. I still don't think this would cause a 100fps loss in power though..

But it could just be adding to the problem, yes? A damaged air nozzle could really be a game changer. Lack of a tappet plate spring could probably cause significant feeding issues and FPS loss, right?

Like I said everything in the gearbox is there, including springs, shims, and all that fun stuff. I do agree that a 2 piece hopup with bad air seal could cause a loss in fps due to an air leak, but shoot at 200 fps, when it should be shooting at least 400? I don't think its the hopup seal. I just recently took the hopup apart and put it back together and re-chrono'd it and it now shoots a steady 330fps I believe it could be the spring. But then again, the spring I put inside was from my old sr12 and I had kept that spring in a little bag that my Guarder SP140 was in, so it was not compressed at all.

Are you happy with the 330? I don't like guns that shoot above 375, but that's just me.

So the entire GB is sound? Did the old SR12 shoot 330?

Its gonna be a DMR platform why would I be happy with 330. The bbs barely reach out 100ft right now. My old one shot ~500 with .25s on almost a stock box. My other 2 guns shoot 350 and 340 fps which is perfect for me, but my sr12 is pretty low for a DMR.

Cause he can't afford guns that shoot above 375 cause he's 15. :)

Switch, don't be such a douche bag and people will be nicer to you.

To get back on topic, even if the bottom piece of a two piece hop up was damaged, it wouldn't effect the FPS in any negative way as the lower half does not, in anyway, have any relation to the air seal between the nozzle and the hop up bucking. The bottom half is there to simply guide the BB's into the upper half, which is where the nozzle will simultaneously chamber a BB into the hop up and create a seal between itself and the hop up bucking to prevent air leakage. Then the piston pushes air through the air nozzle into the hop up where the BB is and the BB flies out! Did I forget in anyway mention how the lower half does not effect the FPS of the gun? (Sarcasm) :)

It would be prudent to have some basic understanding on how airsoft guns function before you post. I know you don't have much understanding as ;your logic is false due to the fact that you gave no proof on how it could be true. Your logical fallacy is called "begging the question." Look it up. :)

You might use some of your observation skills to notice that not all good guns shoot 440 FPS with .20's. I prefer consistency with my rifles, and enjoy getting up close and personal.
How does being 15 relate to this?

And Sir, I beg, explain where I am being a "douche bag". I try to be fair and blunt.

I understand a great deal how airsoft replicas work. I am simply stating possible problems. I don't see where I tried to take merit from other's advice here...

I'm done now, much to the pleasure of all the people who don't like hearing things from younger people.
