G&P M14's

Postby Jester316 » Mon Mar 14, 2011 3:04 pm

Does anyone have any experience with G&P M14's? I know about their M4s and M16's, but don't really know about the M14 series. Impressions on them? Personal experience?

I used their M14 DMR conversion, no experience with their internals, but their externals were extremely high quality, better than both the TM and the CA M14s I had. Over the motor worked great with the gearbox and has a good rate of fire. The G&P mags feed great in the conversion kit, the stock TM and a clone. The externals were on par with what I have seen with their externals from their m4 varients

Their M14 is TM compatible.

Their bearings and gears aren't the greatest from their M4 series. Run them till they break like I did, or replace them at the get-go.

Having handled the G&P M14 EBR Kit, I can say that they're still as nice or nicer than any other externals currently available for that gun.

I think the V7 I worked on a while ago was a G&P. Pretty solidly built however, the bearings needed to go as did the cutoff lever. Whether that was due to misuse or bad QC I'm not sure. The breakdown isn't too bad either

I just received their M14 DMR version this past wednesday (complete rifle). It's very sturdy and built solid with nice quality externals.

I also have the G&P m14 DMR, not one hicup out of her yet. Although I am going to be selling it as soon as I figure out why my bbs keep jamming up (my fault for not properly putting it back together). No problems whatsoever... just not for me anymore

Rick, that's exactly what I'm looking at getting.

I've got to pick one up before and Rick's description is very accurate. Shoots smooth, quite, straight, accurate, and overall super nicely. I only got pop a couple of shots off of one, so I can't really say anything about durability, but I've heard the gears are crappy and will break fairly soon.

One of my close friends has a G&P M14 EBR (MK14) and I used it for a few hours. A little on the heavy side, but I liked it a lot. Quiet, consistent, and tough.
I think he still has it, and will get back to you about its current state.
