Dboys or G&G?

Discuss battery powered AEGs (Automatic Electric Guns) in this forum.

Plastic bodies hold up well, despite what people say. Just don't fall on them, although that will probably break even a DBoys M4 (they aren't made of the greatest metal). TM guns are known for lasting for bloody ever despite having plastic bodies, and from handling the G&G plastic guns they feel a lot like TMs.

I cant say much on which is better...I've never owned nor handled a Dboys, but I do have a G&G. I love it's smooth operation, comfortable feel and heft, and it shoots 350fps with .20 out of the box. From reading around, I'm sure both are good brands with minimal chance of getting a 'lemon.'
Its not how many shots it takes to drop someone, its how accurately you shoot them.

Vogon, I've dropped my Dboys M4 many many times. I've layed on it, I've rolled over it, I've beat the shit out of it. Nothing on the externals has ever broken.

The internals of the Dboys will last a long while. Mine lasted nearly 2 years, and only exploded because I upsidedown with it. All clone guns suffer from the same problem: As soon as you open the gearbox, you start the countdown to failure.

If you are ok carrying around a gun that is not a 1:1 replica of the real thing (which is why we all play airsoft), than get the G&G.

well where i play there is no fps rule.
Sounds awful.

Pssh. Safety? Teeth? Naaah.

Anyways, I'd go with the G&G. Better internals.

My DBoys' barrel will not sit in place and wobbles like a drunk hooker after a really rough list of clientel. The hop up works about as well as Neville Chamberlain's promise of "Peace in Our Time". It feeds bbs like a quadriplegic child (I frequently have to fire it like a Bren gun). I can tell by just a quick look the metal it's made out of is of the quality I expect from HRD vodka - sure, it gets you drunk, but that stuff is definitely cheap.

ACM guns are hit and miss, DBoys is no exception. The only China company that I can tell has serious quality control is Real Sword, the rest just throw out guns as cheaply as possible. It's what you get for going down in price; sure, you might get one that works well, but you might get one that's the second worst AEG you've owned (it only gets beaten by the King Arms FA(i)L as far as poorness goes).

Vogon, where did you get your Dboys from? If it was new, did it come with all these problems? If it was used, how many owners has it had? Have you tried tightening the "sprocket nut" (sorry, can't remember wtf it's called)? Different hop up?

This is why I tell people to save up $250 and get the G&P M4a1 off airsoftpost.com....

No, they're about the same as a JG.

My vote is for the Dboys for externals. G&G is not at all bad though. A couple of my players run them just fine.

Is JG not good? and how are Dboys internals?

No, the JG M4/M16 line sucks inside and out.

Dboys internals work. They aren't great, but they will last for a while.

Are they as goos as the G&G internals? IV heard that G&G have really good metal internals just not so great externals and opposite for Dboys.
