SAW plus can=real?

Postby The Murse » Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:31 am

So I had the thought of putting a TBB in my friend's M249 and then throwing a 5.56 can infront of that to hide the barrel. While COD allows for suppressors (ones that might silence a 9mm on front of a SAW apparently make the gun comeletly silent is irrelevent) does and real army/ spec ops team use suppressed SAW's or is this jsut completly an airsoft only idea?

They are real and are used by the Army and Marines. If you do decide to go this route, I'd get an AAC styled can since it'll look the part/ not be retarded like a "SOCOM" suppressor.

And in the real world people put box mags on their m4s and other standard assault rifles. But not in airsoft... its for some reason a no-no.
She said I raped her? Well, where there is a Will there is a way. But just remember, if it wasn't Lil, it wasn't Wil.

Get a CMag that holds only 100 rounds and then we can talk.

In real life they hold 100 rounds... your midcaps hold 150 rounds.... so no.

We must take into account that where with a real round, one shot will kill. Shoots through walls. Shoots accurately. Hits consistently.
We need a lot of BB's fired to simulate just a few rounds of the real steel counterpart.
For indoor, standard magazines are more realistic, but for outdoor, when you need to shoot through bushes, you'll need the extra capacity to cut the brush.

first: one shot CAN, but most likely will NOT, kill. Second: it seems like it might be a good idea to slap a suppressor on a 249 if you want to add a 510mm barrel. I personally love the looks of the MK43's with a can, and that you can do it in airsoft is even better.

Yeah and a standard M4 magazine holds 25 -27 rounds depending on how you load is. So the fact that you have a magazine between 75 and 300 you are already getting extra rounds to compensate for the differences in round effectiveness.
