Best collapsible stock to house an AEG battery in.

Postby Deathlycobra » Mon Apr 18, 2011 9:55 pm

I wanted to add an RIS unit to my M4, but the only issue is I was going to have to rewire it to the back or get a PEQ Box, and there isn't a lot of durable PEG boxes that house mini type batteries anymore.

So I was wondering if there is a stock that is collapsible (so obviously not a M16 full stock) that can house maybe a mini type battery but I think my time here I know that wont be possible.

Many thanks in advance you guys.

If you just keep your retractable stock in all the way like me then the G&P HK416 stubby stock feels really nice and you can fit a lot of batteries in it. I don't know of any retractable ones that fit a brick mini battery off the top of my head though. Time to move onto lipos.

If you want to keep your mini batteries, you can always get an external battery pouch as the cheapest solution. If you don't want to rewire your gun you could get a CASV rail system or go the PEQ box route. Otherwise you could get a Crane stock though you'll need to get different batteries for your gun. There are LiPo/LiFePO4 batteries that are small enough to fit in your buffer tube too if Crane stocks are too big for your tastes.

AONW has buffer tube Lipos which should fit in your buffer tube just fine. Next time you are up there, just ask 'em about it. My 7.4v is great quality, and only costs about $20 at the store.

If you have a ton of mini batteries and don't want to get rid of them, go with a battery pouch. They can look really cool or really lame, depending on the rest of your loadout, so play it safe.
