Probably because its done with real guns. My colt has this arrangement. Its to prevent the pins from walking out in an inconvenient location / time (combat)

Good to know for future reference though I still think that it might be a hair on the redundant side. What better way to make somthing fool proof than to make so that I fool can't figure out why it was done that way lol ;)

This is what I get for getting on AP after 23hrs of being awake... For some reason I forgot about the screw together body pin (which my Dboys M4 has...).

My G&P doesn't have any set screws, the pins are just really tight. I would suggest buying a aptly-sized punch, and and use a rubber mallet to drive it out. Make sure you brace the rifle body well, so that you don't warp the barrel housing or the body itself.

It is common knowledge.

I had the bucking in my G&P replaced last week. It took 2 people to do it (mind it was on a decently unstable surface and one person braced the rifle while the other punched the pin out). Anyways, the pins are very, very tightly in place. It does take a lot of force (just be sure that you punch in the correct side ;)).
Please, I insist.

I bought a screw in body pin for my G&P because the stock non screw in kept falling out during games! Surprising how they are so different
