M14 scopes

+1 beside using scope is a poor way to ID enemies with unless its a sniper rifle or dmr rifle.


So it's OK to use a scope to ID people with a gun if it's a 'DMR', but it's not ok if it's a normal M14?

Seriously, target ID is something more people need to work on, and a 4X optic is perfect for that.

Not at all.

With dead people, people moving back from objectives, sneaky squads, etc. you can't rely on this.



Commie, notice I said GENERALLY.

I've seen scopes become more of an issue in recent events. People think that because they can see and ID their target at further ranges, their replica can hit them at further ranges. This leads to people getting angry about not calling hits, and yelling matches.

A low power (1-4) long eye relief scope should do the job nicely for airsoft. take a look at the scout rife thread by KA Bar to get the idea. You get the best of both words this way. anything more powerful is generally unneeded due to distances involved.
