New? I haven't had a lot of experience with the M rifles from Dboys, though if their AK line is any hint at their consistency in making a reliable weapon, I can't say that it would be a terrible gun.

If it's $120 for a New In Box D BOY M16A4, then yes, it's a good deal. Keep in mind that it comes shooting 400+ and would probably enjoy a downgrade to 380

a new one is only 160$ on ASGI you might as well get it new instead, although Chinese guns shoot hot out of the box their compression deteriorates a lot faster than most higher end guns just fire a bag of bbs trough it and the FPS should drop down to legal levels

Compression may or may not deteriorate depending on many many factors. Is 120 the sticker price? if so, offer them a bit less. Used is user no matter how used.

Cheap gun is cheap.
If you are careful and don't open it, should last a while. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
This gun won't come close to higher end rifles but for a starter it's fine.
Just plan on in the future, you will probably buy a new replica.
