SOCOM mk1 mk112 internals vs. G&G Combat Machine internals

Postby Riuk » Sat Jun 16, 2012 10:07 pm

Which is better internally, Im either buying an airsoftgi custom g4, which is basically a G&G Combat Machine M4, or a SOCOM Gear MK1 PWS MK112, which do you think is better internally?, i know that the socom gear comes with a tight bore, but I just want to get the one that will work the best

My SOCOMGear rifle was acquired secondhand with God-knows how many rounds through it, and I've put another 6,000 or so through it. The only problem it's faced has been a wire dislodging, and that was due to my own improper assembly. From what I've seen, SOCOMGear makes a damn fine AEG. If it's really a toss-up between a modded G&G CM and the SG rifle, it's no question in my mind.

SOCOMGear all the way.

My combat machine so far has been running for almost year without problems.

Edit:Then it had problems. Kind of.

Except for some reason my spring or some seals went out and it started shooting around 230 last time I checked. I just swapped out the cylinder, spring, and spring guide then. Probably could have swapped out the pistol head while I was at it.

The outer barrel also fell off during a skirmish. Stupid two piece system. So, I replaced that with a one piece outer and a DD lite rail. The stock rail was a little flexible, too, so that game me an incentive to replace it for almost no reason.

Anyways, it ran quite nicely for a year and I didn't need to do anything major, and everything internally was fine when I was replacing the spring and such.

I got my airsoft gi g4 in 2010 when i was really getting into airsoft, since then i have put 200,000 plus rounds into it without even opening the gearbox ever. when i finally wanted to open it, the copper bushings were the only thing with wear on them. i want to add i only used 11.1's with it. the standard combat machine has a minute amount of difference in the motor. i would get the g4 because the tech's at airsoft gi shim it, grease it, do aoe, and all that stuff to it.
my 2 cents

SOCOM gear does not make any AEGs, they are a re-branding company but unlike E1 they choose G&G and VFC(which are great guns) for most of their guns, the SOCOM MK1 MK112 internally is a G&G gearbox and also has a G&G hopup.
