Battery rewiring help.

Postby Hawk_Eye » Fri Jun 22, 2012 3:31 pm

Okay so I have a KWA SR5 and it come with a crane stock and the battery goes inside the crane stock of coarse but I want to put an LE stock on there, and I want to put the battery inside the buffer tube. Does anyone have any video tutorials or something that can teach me how to rewire it into the buffer tube? It'll be much obliged
Hope for the best but expect the worst.

the wiring is already inside the buffer tube. the only problem is exchanging the stocks. for the record u should stick with a crane stock if you dont have or plan on getting a buffer tube lipo.

Also once you go with the LE style stock, the battery and wires will show in the back as they aren't capped on the end.

The KWA Wires are thick and really curly, so they prevent you from using a buffer tube lipo without replacing them. They take up all the room.

You'll want to pull the stock tube off, and cut the old wires at the little prong connectors. Wire in new 16ga straight wire, with a plug on the end. Leave enough length that it can reach out the back of the buffer tube slightly.

There really is no major rewiring needed, however, it will be very hard to find a four cell stick battery that fits in the buffer tube. I've see it done, but the battery is so low of a capacity, its almost not worth it. My recomendation is to get an SIG 556 style stock. I have one on my M4 and Evike sells it and the 9.6v 1600mAh battery for it.

Is the battery a crane specific battery? DOes it have 3 packs wired together? Or is it a single stick type battery? To fit in the buffer tube, it'll need to be approximately 1"x1".
