Why buy echo 1? aren't they just rebrands of cyma/jg/dboys guns?, for example: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=34721 < isn't that just a rebranded dboys scar h? or am I wrong? why do people buy echo 1?

i think they are actually a rebranded JG, They make decent guns. Personally i would get a Dboys or JG since they are cheaper, for pretty much the same quality gun. But Echo1 has better customer support since its based in the NSM ( 'nited states'f 'merica )

think of it like classic army with their proline and sportline stuff. JG is pretty much the sportline version of echo

they are the same thing as the dboys SCAR H, you're basically paying for warranty, a better QC, and a few minor upgrades like the madbull blue bucking

And that slightly better QC can help catch small things, like a bad bucking.

Or it can save your whole bleeding gear box. Worth the little extra. Can't believe I'm saying "extra" with regard to Echo 1.
