KWA KM4A1 vs KWA G36C

Postby Goliath17 » Fri Jul 20, 2012 4:52 pm

I want to know which people prefer because Im looking for a good KWA field gun. I have narrowed it down to the KWA KM4A1 link: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=28467 or the KWA G36C link: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?c ... s_id=27642. What do you think?
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.

theyre both pretty dam good, it just comes down to which platform YOU like more. i personally have the G36, and it is probably the best G36 on the market(not saying much). standard Ver.3 gearbox for max upgrade ability, and the exterior on mine was pretty good. Mine doesnt have trades, but the one you are looking at does, and thats definitely a plus.

As for the M4, I hear its a good platform but i cant vouch since ive never even held one before.

I run a G-36, granted not a kwa, but still same base design. If you are looking for ease of gearing, go M-4, TONS of gear choices (add-ons, parts, mags, and such). For sheer cool factor? G-36c is the only way to go. You end up paying for it in the mag department, but meh what ever.

This is entirely up to you. I've run both a G36C (KWA Gen. 1) and an M4 (Not KWA) and I prefer the AR15 platform over the G36 platform, the ease of use and compatibility just makes it so much better to enjoy yourself while playing.

Now also be aware that if your main concern is magazines, you can just purchase a magwell adapter for the G36 so that you are able to use AR15 style magazines with it.

Yeah, Im kinda leaning towards the KM4A1 because I am much more familiar with the plateform since every AEG I have evr owned has been one.

It all depends on which is more comfortable for you. The G36 is having new mags put out by someone, I think Madbull or MAGPUL that will fit in M4 pouches cause thats the biggest pain I had with mine and partially why I switched to an M4. I had to cut of the tabs in order to get the mags to fit well into pouches I had and even then doing it in a hurry wasn't advisable because the bottom/top edges would snag on the fabric depending on how the mag had been put into the pouch. You could always get the G36 and slap the mag adapter on it and use M4 mags and then you got the best of both worlds so to speak.

Get the G36. Everybody and their uncle has an M4.

That said. Everything that needs to be said has been: choose whatever feels better to you. Just remember that an M4 will give you more customization options (but G36s are cooler).

Buy the platform that has more options available to the end user. A G36 is not one of them. However a M4 has tons of accessories and readily available replacement parts in case you need them. This one of the many reasons the M4 is so widely popular.
