Questions about quality airsoft M16's

Postby Izodn » Mon Oct 08, 2012 5:36 pm

Not long ago I bought a AGM M16-A4, and it's got issues. I got the gun today, and out of the box the dust guard was broken (would not move back into place), the gun shot 2 BBs at a time, with the occasional normal shot, and the flap that concealed the dust-cover would not stay shut, and promptly broke after trying to shut.

As you can understand I'm a bit frustrated with these issues. I've seen and heard terrible things about JG, so I tried staying away from that brand, and stuck with a well-reviewed AGM M16 from AirsoftGI.

I'm looking for a new gun around $130-$200(max), but don't know which guns are better than others. I'm still new to airsoft, and trying to get involved.

P.S. As added motivation, I'm upgrading from http://www.amazon.com/Double-Eagle-M82-Airsoft-Electric/dp/B001BTD8D0 so, yeah, I'm in need of an upgrade. Thanks in advance.

JG has a well-deserved attention for their previous guns being terrible.

However, their new 'Enhanced' series are an excellent value, and the new full-metal M4 and AUG A3 are epic. I personally own an Enhanced M4 S-system of theirs that has the same gearbox as the M16 (if that's what you want). The externals are solid, but nothing great. The hop up unit is the weak point, replace the bucking at a minimum. I wouldn't recommend their hi-cap mags either.

AONW has a G&G M16A2 for $170, G&G is a great brand for beginers and good thing from buying from them is that they're just a drive away so if anything goes wrong with the gun you can deal with someone face to face

honestly though for a beginner i'd suggest the KWA CQR, you're paying about $200 for a gun that performs the same as any other full metal KWA which goes for $300-$400.
