Airsoft M4 Front Post Sight pin replacements

Postby Deathlycobra » Thu Oct 25, 2012 11:53 pm

For reference, I am talking about these pins( this isn't my picture, and I lack these pins):

So I lack the pins above, and was wondering what I could use as replacement for these pins? I was thinking thick wire hangers, but that's all that I can think of right now.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a fix for it? I would like to know.

Welp if you do that'd be awesome. Finally was able to pick up an external barrel for myself for my CM, and I need these pins to finish it. Feel free to PM me to work something out to get the pins if you actually have them.

If you can't find them, just superglue that phony pony.

I hate trying to find pieces like that! Good luck trying to find that. Does the triangle sight have a little screw in the bottom that can hold it in place as well?

I was also thinking maybe I could use a tiny screw too, but that'd be a pretty tiny screw

Probably will use this as a last result, since the superglue is nearly permanent, and might be a hassle when I the barrel off for any reason I need to. Unless, you can pop it off maybe with a good smack?

if you superglue it, it'll stay enough for what you need it but it will be easy to break the glue to remove it. I've used it for flip up sights that didn't fit snug on rails and I've used it for wobbly barrels.

Go to ace hardware, or any hardware store, look for the angle iron rack, in that rack there should be round bar. I believe there should be round bar small enough to match it.
AKA: rbm33

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

Definitely bring the sight with you. Bring everything you might need. I carried the top rail of my G36 into Ace Hardware cause I needed screws and got just the right size screw that the guy showed to me as opposed to the ones I found that were going to be too long. In the end they might know a better solution.

If you take the sight to Ace Hardware, and you ask one of the guys to help you find a pin that will fit, they'll have the part. You could use a roll pin, but those will be tight. I'd try and find a flora pin, which is what was in it originally.
