Postby Sicko56 » Sat Jan 29, 2011 1:04 am

Ok so I'm thinking of getting into airsoft and i've narrowed my list down to to AEG both are combat machines on is the M16 Carbine http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=4587 and the RK-47 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=5592. any thoughts pros or cons of both of these aegs would be greatly appreciated. thank you

It all really depends on what you want. They're both made by the same manufacturer so it's not like the quality of the internals is going to be that different. You can do a million different things to the M-4 or you could buy the AK and roll with that.

You are better off buying a Metal M4 from Dboys or a steel AK 74 from Dboys for about the same price.

Just have to hit that google search button..

the combat machine is a good starting platform. good rof with a 9.6 and it comes with a 6.04 barrel. metal spring guide strong gears only downside is the low fps about 320 340 compared to most stock guns coming 400+. the low fps isnt exactly a bad thing. im not sure how it compares to other guns such as dboys and jg but id recommend it

also the polymer body is very strong and at first i thought it was metal however if a metal body is a must then dont but the combat machine but the proline series has metal bodies

The combat machines are very solid. I would personally go for the M4 because basically every company under the sun makes M4 parts, which will allow for the most customization if you want to make the gun your own. Also, AK magazines are pretty awkward to handle, and they're not as available as m4 magazines. But, no matter what you decide, G&G is a solid brand, so your gun will have very high internal and external quality. I've had my G&G for about three months now, and I've never regretted buying it.

I recently purchased the combat machine m4 and it is great. I Would definitely recommend the gun. Some may say to get one with a metal body but your not going to have a problem with the plastic one it's really strong. I think it feels great and a lot of people have an m4 so you could borrow mags from people On your team. If the gun ever breaks or you need an upgrade part then there are endless m4 parts.

I bought mine from evike.com and it shipped really fast and was not damaged. If you buy this gun from evike get the one with rails and crane stock. Also do the "holy cow" deal and get 2 FREE MAGS for $5 and use the coupon code "freeship" for free shipping!

The only person who is correct here is the person who said G&P.

Get a G&P, don't mess up.

However, if money is a big issue, Pickles is right. Dboys is a great starter M4.

But if you can, get a G&P.

If you gave us some sort of budget idea, it'd be much more helpful for us and you.

G&P if you can afford it. Dboys if you can't. I've used 2 dboys M4's, and love(d) them both.

right now im looking at budget of 400 for everything so gun, 2 batterys, smart charger, mags, speed loader, goggles, a scarf to protect the teeth, and maybe kneepads. i already know where im going to get the batterys and smart charger, the only problem i have with the g&p is since it uses deans connecters the bats and charger im thinking of getting off of amazon might not work with that AEG.

Change the connectors on the battery. $3.50 will get you one set of male/female deans connectors at the local hobby store...

G&P M4 SOPMOD = 250
MAG plastics = 60
1x AONW 9.6v 1600mah nunchuck = 26
Smart charger = 20
Cheap shooting glasses = 20
Knee pads = 20

You're at 396, and scarfs don't really protect your teeth. Just don't show your face very often, or wear a mouth guard of some sort.

You're golden.

Putting deans on a battery and charger would only be like, $2...
