M14 EBR

Postby Hutch » Sun Aug 07, 2011 8:11 pm

I'm looking for an M14 EBR, but can't find one with a decent price... I've been looking for many hours to no success. Does anyone here know of an M14 EBR variant I can buy for about $300-ish bucks? I won't go higher than $350.
Please and thank you. :D

Google.

Not an M14 expert, let some else put their opinions. http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-KART-M668.htm - KARt M14

Cheapest one I've found, G&G's is like 400.

your best bet is to get it used off someone if you want to get that price.

it's bulky, solid and weighs a ton. It's like carrying a saw but only a rifle.

I would look for a G&G and CA due to them using a different metal alloy to reduce weight.

I agree with Riddick. Don't personally own one, but ran with an G&G EBR at a local skirm and the sumbitch is HEAVY. Not a "This-is-mildly-weighty-and-a-bipod-would-be-nice" kind of heavy. A "Who-the-hell-put-bricks-and-lead-weights-inside-this-damn-thing" heavy.

But maybe I'm just a pansy. I will say, however, that the G&G shot wonderfully when the bipod was deployed or I had it rested on cover. Looks sexy, too.

I found the KARt M14 EBR for about $200. Is that worth it?

No. Save your money for a quality gun, find someone who owns the gun you want and try it out to see if you like it (and if you really like the externals and performance of the gun enough to dump that much money into it and lug it around everywhere).

I have to ask, how big are you?
The G&G M14 EBR weighs in at 11lbs unloaded, it'll probably weight 13-14lbs once you've made it all spiffy. A m4 will weigh in around ~8lbs.
Head into AONW and feel the weight to see if its something you'll want to be caring for 3+ hours

They have some "light version" EBRs on eHobby Aisa...

I owned the KART. It preformed very well, shooting close to 400 fps pretty accurately for about 170 feet. The only down-side was the fact that i felt like my arms were going to fall off after about two minuets due to the weight. The thing weighed 16 pounds with the battery in. D:

Most EBRs weigh a ton, and they don't make up for it with performance unless you dump $200 more into it. So, if you still make money by doing chores, look for a better gun such as a G36E or an SR25. Same effect, but cheaper and more comfortable.

Why is everyone talking about the G&G M14 over the CA? I'd think the reputation and reliability of CA would be better.

Specifically on the EBR model, I prefer the G&G.

The G&G is slightly more refined, with a better fitting stock and less rattle when extended. Additionally, the performance and accuracy of the G&G make it a better bet than the CA in this case.
