Look at the pictures very closely, looks like PMCs. One of those is a suburban that is a "special contract" to a non disclosed country . Say Saudi Arabia? Dillon Aero is the manufacturer of the guns, guess that one is a demo vehicle. The owner of Dillon is a squared away guy. They also make civilian reloading equip. Google Dillon and check out some of the girls he has pose with his products. He has good taste in women too. :D

Rangers have used miniguns on Humvees.

The abilities of the weapon and vehicle are what give it the gameplay mechanic that make it fun. If you take your SUSV and add a proper turret on the first car, it could be good.

If you get a minigun, it has an amazing rate of fire and high FPS so it acts like a mounted gun should--it will scare the crap out of people near it.

let me restate something.
I DO NOT WANT TO PUT ARMOR ON A QUAD. I want to MAKE an All Terrain Vehicle from the ground up that has the capacity to comfortably fit a driver and a gunner. The motor would be underneath the gunner, who would be behind the driver. It would have a roll cage with mesh sheets to serve as windows and prevent fogging and shattering.
sort of like this, but with a gunner on the back(scroll down): http://www.diytrade.com/china/4/product ... normal_img

I could make the vehicle not have a mounted weapon, and instead the gunner carries his/her weapon as they normally would, just it the back of the vehicle.

The SSUV looks interesting, but that's not the type of vehicle I'm wanting to make. I want a vehicle that can make straifing runs on the field itself, not only on roads. make it strong enough to carry troops across the field quickly, then provide cover fire and extra fire protection.

The issue you are going to run into is speed restrictions. 10mph is generally the limit. That makes it kind of tough for strafing runs. you will get picked off too easily. Many people want to approach, throw grenades etc....there is usually a 10' do not approach rule, but people seem to forget and get right up close. My main worry is about running over people. In a more open terrain like eastern OR or WA a faster moving vehicle would be great. Not around the Valley. That has just my experience with vehicles. Right now Snipers Den is about the only place I can think of where you can really move around. We used the SSUV at splat action, but it was pretty close quarters. Good luck with this project. It will add to events that it will be allowed in.

VW Buggy with a SAW? Those are relatively easy, somewhat cheap to make, and it WILL be "from the ground up".

Yes, very similar to that buggy, just smaller and mesh armored... maybe higher off the ground too.
