I find the KWA externals on my KWA to be quite nice...may I ask what you dislike about them? Mine is a 2GX, one of the newer ones, and I don't have even the slightest rail, sight, or body wobble. The stock wobbles a little, but I have never seen a collapsing stock, real steel or not, that doesn't wobble a little. And this wobbles less than most.

The finish felt bad compared to G&P among a lot of other brands, the pistol grips plastic was some of the worst I've ever felt, the top rail wobbled a ton, the RIS was beginning to, the stock wobbled (my VFC crane stock has no wobble whatsoever, it's pretty tough to move), the trademarks are horrible and IMO it'd be better off with a blank receiver if it doesn't have RS trades.

Was it an older generation KWA? The 2GX model I have is literally nothing like that...the pistol grip is great. I can't argue the trademarks thing, apart from saying that trademarks don't matter to me personally. I'm quite fine with KWA's trademarks.

It was a 2gx SR10.

And so the trademarks were horrible why? Because it didn't say Colt? Hate to break it to you but the Marine Corps doesn't have any M16s with EGAs on them, so the G&P is just as fake in the trademark dept. Why didn't you send the gun to KWA if it came out of the box like this. They have an amazing warranty system.

I think the point is that the KWA externals seem/feel cheap, at least to me. Yeah, it's metal, but...iono.

ive owned literally hundreds of guns, and i would take a new KWA M4A1 over two new G&P M4A1s, and i consider myself a G&P fan.

ideally, id take all three. but if i were made to choose a gun between the two to use in my next game it would be a KWA.

kwa vrs g&p whats new..... i have a sr10 i love..... the great internals and very nicly made externals. trades....IMO who cares....saying 5.56 dosent make it go boom...my top rail dose wobble a bit but its a easy fix and kwa has since fixed the problem(400 doller gun really shouldnt have that sort of problem). other then that the thing is solid. a crane stock will wobble and if it dosent then it was a cheaply made stock or buffing tube that isnt made to the right spec. you could always run a mini lipo in the buffing tube and use the magpul stock. just do some research and on the model you are looking at. I dont usualy hear anything but good about G&p but then agian i didnt here anything but good about kwa until i got one and started looking up the flaws mine had. just get good at being able to tell the difference between some kid that got a gun for christmas shot it twice then told the world how its the best gun out there. i treat my sr10 horribaly...ive fallen on it, stuck the barrel in the mud, and thrown it with only one error and that was a screw in the trigger assembly came a little loose. sorry for rambaling and good luck. UnHoly out.

Who says I like the EGA trades? I'm a huge fan of the USMC and still don't like EGA trades. Which is why I buy G&P's with colt, FNH (MK46), and KAC (XM110) trades. And it didn't seem defective, it just seemed that that's how it was built... Nothing looked physically broken or deformed in any way.

Some things that are defective are merely built wrong. Like I said, mine is more solid than any gun I've felt in a while, although I will admit I haven't seen a G&P in a while.

If you deside on a KWA i would wait until the new ones come out, they are going to simulated recoil and when your mag is tanked the bolt locks back and you have to press the bolt release. Kinda like the Systema's That's what I heard from a representative from KWA at Shot Show on youtube.com. The downside to that is you will have to by all new mags, please correct me if I'm wrong. But it does sound pretty cool and I cant wait.
