My ak has jammed, and I don't know what to do to fix it.

Mechbox.com has some great guides on to dissemble and reassemble all kinds of guns and models if your afraid to attempt it yourself then you can always take it in to some local shop.

Yes, the anti-reversal latch basically releases spring tension and puts the gears back in a spot where they can easily be spun.
If the anti-reversal latch is really well hidden or a female dog to get to, I've always had good luck plugging in a 11.1V LiPo and firing it once.
They usually have sufficient amperage to un-jam these "half cock" problems.
Not that I'm saying anyone has a small package..
Good luck!

Uhh, thats not a smart idea.. Because if it doesn't unlock the gearbox then something is likely to break (be it the bevel gear, anti reversal latch itself, the pinion gear or the motor).

To the OP: If you think you can take it apart yourself, as osborn said Mechbox.com has great dis-assembly guides. I'd still like to know if your gun makes ANY NOISE AT ALL when you fire it. If we don't know what the gun is doing, we can't help you diagnose and repair it.

Take the Pistol Grip off, and the motor cage with the motor.

Now take either a small screw driver or surgical type tooth picker the Dentist use, or that some hobby kits have for detail work. And pull the ANTI reversal latch TOWARDS you so it will release the gear cycle. Put it back together the way you took it apart (Remember, You are only taking the pistol grip and motor cage off.) Make sure Positive and Negative are on the Correct tabs. This should fix you're problem.

I suggest getting some new battery's as even you're 9.6v Battery may be outdated and just too old to really turn those gears.
