I was looking at this option, but I really Like the look of a RIS System. But I have heard nothing but good about KWA in general.

Dont get sucked into the KWA PR shit storm. Yes, they have good products, but they are not the end all be all. Make sure to check out lots of other systems in person before settling on a gun. Attend a game or two, evening if your not playing, and check out peoples weapon systems. Ask to try them out. Most people will oblige.

That is the hard part, I don't have a ride for most of the games. My mom works saturdays, and my dad doesnt want to drive 3+ Hours for me to play a game and him to just be bored out of his mind:(

Its generally allowed to try and bum a ride off of someone in the forums, as long as you offer gas money. Find another player near you, and ask for a ride! Also, try and get your dad involved. That way he can buy nice gear, and you can get to use it ;) . ALso, its just an awesome father son sport.

I am going to try and talk with my dad about it. He would have a hard time running around, (he has back problems) but I know having a father son thing would motivate him quite a lot.

The common perception of Airsoft tends to be that we play like speedballers- we sprint and dash and zoom about. This is definitely not the case. There will be times when folks move quickly, but one of the best players I ever met never took a step faster than a slow lope. Your dad'll do just fine.

Alright, really good to know:) I am trying to get as many convincing points to get my dad to start playing as possible. My dad and I really need to do more together.

Hah. No, Lukens, I was talking about a man named Christiansen that I met at an R&R game.

Good luck kid. And don't forget: Socom Gear. ;)

HMM No. I have got three of these out of mystery box's from GI. They suck first one didn't shoot at all. Second one would let bb's dribble out of the barrel on semi and was more finicky on mags than a "regular" KWA 2X. Also lower receiver near the reatining pin cracked first time i let someone use it during a skrimish. Third box had another one of these didnt shoot like either. They have all been slaughtered for parts.

That is kinda scary. But I am set on a socom gear Mk110 or Mk112. Not sure between the two yet.

I have a messed up hip and I play. Airsoft can be as fast or slow as you choose to make it. I cant wait for my son to hit airsoft age so we can play together. 10 this month is still a little young to be playing but soon!.

No, but you can start teaching him to airsoft, so when he joins he knows what he is doing:)

You kidding? He already plays airsoft poker with me and the wife. Shoot at 7 cards at 25 feet. 8 shots total, however many you hit, thats your 7 card stud hand. Safety rules with the AEG's, eye pro, all the stuff that comes with that have a very solid base. He has seen dads welts from getting shot bare-skinned too close, so aiming at someone who isnt playing in a game with you is out. Soon the young one will be a full fledged padawon...muwhahahaha then to the darkside he will come.
