Try using a small screw driver in one of the parapets of the castle nut. Whack it with a hammer.

Your a funny one Pacman. Yea it makes it soooo lighter and me faster..... I was going to use a ABS cement on the stock, but alas Im missing a large chunk.

I tried using small screw driver and hammer to loosen castle nut and it just broke the tooth off, wtf! It is not going anywhere. I made my own mock silencer thats slides over the barrel, it looks alright. Ill take pics and see what yall think.

You're missing the set screw. Take that out first. It's along the top.

That piece is already out. I think this thing is welded on.

I've owned three G&G M14s, of various versions, and I've worked on several others. I've never seen one welded on. I think there's something you're missing.

Im sure your right, ill just take it to airsoft outlet, see if they can get it off.
