Last night i was taking out some aggression on a carboard box that had been mocking me from the garage.
My battery died mid-way through a clip. When i swapped it out for a fresh battery i noticed a slight 'electrical/hot' smell.
It's a new AEG, and i've never pulled a battery out so soon after it died, so thought this may very well be normal(?) *shrugs*
As i clipped in a fresh battery my rifle immediately started shooting on full auto. i quickly unplugged the battery, made sure i had the safety on & wasn't doing something stupid like accidentally depressing the trigger.
i fumbled around looking for obvious signs of AEG injury for a while, but no luck.

Since i like pissing off the wife by covering the coffee table with things she's not interested in, i broke out the tools and dismantled my rifle as much as i was able to.
Well, i'm posting here you can probably guess i didn't find anything obvious...didn't spot any smoldering wires, broken solder points, loose bits, or anything else a noob like me would recognize as an issue.
i'm doing my best to make it to Snowmageddon (Estacada Skirmish), but the Gods of Platic Death seemingly don't want me to attend my first skirmish.
Does anyone have experience with an issue like this? Any ideas? Recommended place that might be competant enough to fix me up?
Do i need to sacrifice a virgin to appease the Gods??
i looked online and see Airsoft Outlet NW is pretty close to me (Beaverton/Hillsboro), but don't see 'gun services' listed. If nothing else i'll call them up and see if i can get pointed in the right direction...
Thanks in advance!
