New AEG

Postby Nark » Fri Feb 05, 2010 11:09 pm

Hey I'm looking to get a new gun that uses M16 mags. I was wondering which gun would be the best to buy. Price isnt really a matter of concern for me, I just want a pretty high end rifle that can be used for CQB battles. Let me know what you think.

I would say look into a CA or KWA. G&P have nice externals but lack on internals. KWA and CA have good externals a good - great internals.

KWA does not always like aftermarket parts that are not KWA.

CA you can slap damn near any part on it you want.

I would say head to your local shop and HOLD them. Dont buy a gun purely on looks. Buy a gun that feels good to you and fits you style of play. G&P, KWA, and CA make great AEG its just they all have the pros and cons. Read a few more posts on here and you will find comparisons and personal insight on brands.

Personally I am a CA fan boy so my opinion is going to gear towards them. Its like ATi vs. nVidia for PC or AMD vs. Intel. All have their pros and cons and you need to decide for yourself what fits you as a person and player.

It's personal preference, get what you like. Just remember, it's cheaper to replace internals than externals.

I like G&P.

And Intel is better.

Go with a CA. Just got my Scar in and i couldn't be happier. What sold me was that they are pretty easy to work on. And looks are very nice.

Stick with G&P and you won't be disappointed. Their externals are beautiful and I've yet to have a problem with the internals on both my G&P weapons. Also the stock ROF is so nuts, the squirrels try to steal it.

As for which one, go with which one tickles your pickle in the right way. Remember you don't need a 10" barrel for CQC. Lots of people can rock a 14.5 just fine. But +7 million to giving a gun a good hand job before you decide.

G&P have perfectly good internals, on par with or better than CA/KWA. That said, go with what gun you like the looks of. I nearly purchased the G&P sentry your looking at but opted for their MAGPUL setup instead, not trying to guide your decision but if you haven't already looked into it the gun is definitely short enough for CQB (and the MAGPUL stamped receiver looks perty). Another note is that the website you are looking to purchase from does not keep their inventory up to date at all. I have purchased "limited edition" AEGs, among other equipment, from EVIKE only to get an e-mail (weeks) later stating that they no longer have the product in stock.

EDIT: Jewish Ninja beat me to it at 1 in the morning  Oh did I mention G&P AEGs look and feel AMAZING :D Take it from a guy who owns... too many of them

I already have 2 G&Ps.
I built a CQC rifle 2 weeks ago with G&P front, plastic Echo1 body & a Dboys mechbox, now I'm replacing them with G&P body & a G&P mechbox.
This is my 3rd G&P then.
I think CA has a very dull surface, and the KWA only famous in the States.

Go with one of the G&P's you like, or if you want to look around, look at classic army.

The G&G will be ok if you are downgrading the spring for cqc, it should last you a while.

agreed again. the ROF compared to my CA has an extremely noticable difference. i was suprised. my half charged 8.4 sounds like a full charged 9.6

Thats because of the G&P M120 motor.... Good motors but bad trigger response IMO.

Well I'm comparing it to non high speed motors or high torque motors. Like how if you've ever used a Systema magnum, the trigger response is crazy.
