Crane Stock Question

Postby Moparspanky » Wed Mar 17, 2010 8:33 am

I'm looking to purchase a new M4. My son had a crane stock M4 a year ago and had a lot of trouble with it so I was originally going to stay away from anything with a crane stock. It's become obvious he simply is hard on his guns so I'm re-thinking. Anyone have any advice one way or another on foregrip battery vs. crane stock battery?

Initially I had some issues with the crane/battery thing. after getting used to the thing,it grows on you. There is a good video on you tube showing an easy way to get the battery situated (airsoft GI) we leave the battery in the stock and charge it in the stock. works great & I like the stock now. Has a good cheek weld too.

Thats also the easiest fix for the old problem of "My battery is too big! I can't get it back out!"

Just leave it in :)

I'm a huge fan of the crane stock. Many of the new crane stocks have a removable butt pad so you can take the butt plate off and reach the battery that way, and the stock itself stays on the tube. Very very easy overall.

You guys have convinced me to face my fears and dive in. Going to go ahead with an M4 crane stock equipped. KWA KM4 SR10 is probably the ticket, but I'll peruse the inventory at airsoftoutletnw. Advice greatly appreciated.

on my CA crane ,there is a little door that comes off, I remove the door , fish out the battery connector, plug it in and your good to go. Check out that video.

Good choice, and they sell batteries that fit in the stock as well(9.6V). I really like the stock on my KWA M4 RIS.

I love the crane stock for cheek weld and comfort. AONW also sells 11.1v LiPo packs that fit into the buffer tube if you don't want to have to worry about futzing with the crane stock batteries.
