G36 mags

Postby badco » Thu Mar 18, 2010 3:57 pm

I just got a brand new g36. I like it alot, but ran into a mag problem.

Should I buy g36 mags, or the m4 magwell conversion kit, and m4 mags?

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=4098

Also, If I get g36 mags, should I sand off the clips? I know they're useful for clipping mags, but u get the idea that it will make them hard to get in and out of mag pouches with.

Finally, what mid-cap magazines do you recommend using that are good quality but mildly priced? (M4 or G36)

Please help.

I think M4 mags look hideous in the G36. G36 mags are much cheaper than they used to be. Keep the clips. You won't find them in the real world without clips unless they've broken off, so should it be with your magazines.

This. You may end up spending a little more on G36 mags, but at least your gun won't look like a POS from the planet a$$...

Look HERE to see the horrer of a g36 with a m4 mag adapter... Not very pretty.

Anyhow I bought one mag and one king arms g36 midcap to see which was better. I liked the mag ones more (and I think they're cheaper too).

And sanding off the clips is a very good idea. One g36 mag (with the clips sanded off) takes up one double m4 mag pouch. :? Not exactly economical...

Here is one of my mags with the sanded off clips (I used a dremmel) And the sanded off clips aren't really that obvious- just bad lighting (my bad :( )

MAG midcaps are the best IMO.

I have a G36 and a Mag adapter too. I carry both on me when I play because everyone else on my team uses an M4. When I start to run low on M4 mags I can easily switch out the Mag adapter and continue to play. I have also found that SAW pouches allow you to carry 4 G36 mags a piece and so do large bandoleers.

I always had feed problems with my mag well adapter. There are companies that make specific G36 mag pouches as well.

I have yet to have any real issues. Luck of the draw I guess.

I have the CA M4 Mag adapter on my CA G36. Works fine. Its not really any faster to change out Mags than a standard G36 mag so do not swap it out for that reason. I wouldn't bother doing it unless you already have a pile of M4 mags on hand. The only other real advantage was mentioned earlier, is that the M4 Mags take up less room.

Have the adapter (private parts) use black p mags in it. works great looks good. My main problem with the G36 mags is lack of durability. The p mags are tough as nails. Get a 10 pack a e hobby asia for 55 bucks or so.

I can't find any information on a real magwell adapter for a real G36, making this idea thoroughly gay.
