Mag Problem?

Postby shawn423 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 8:21 pm

The mag that came with my CA m15a4 carbine will only shoot about 15 bb's or so before i have to rewind it, and when i take the mag out there are still bbs in the feeding chamber of the mag. Is that normal? Its not a huge problem, i just have to rewind the mag more often. But any input would be apreciated

That is 100% normal for hi-cap mags, there will usually be a few bb's that fall out when you remove the mag, and you do have to wind them often. If you don't like it, try mid-cap mags (I highly suggest you do).

Do you wind it until the sound changes pitch? If not, then you aren't winding it all the way. If you are, then might be time to invest in some midcap magazines.

As for there still being bb's, it takes 10-20 bb's in the feed tube for the high cap mechanism to work.

Mag brand are popular. G&P Metal midcaps are very nice.

If I remember right, the CA series accepts most aftermarket magazines.

MAG makes the best midcap for your money IMO, they work flawlessly with mine.

I use MAG 130 round Vietnam mids and KA H&K marked 130 rounders. The MAG mags feed best. King Arms mags miss feed the first 5-10 found then feed perfectly. If you do get mid caps don't forget a speed loader
