SR-25 Feedback

Postby Smitty » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:59 pm

Hi guys, first time poster here so take it easy on me. :)

I am looking at buying a A&K (yes i know, A&K) Full Metal SR-25 URX airsoft gun. I've done a fair amount of homework on the gun, looking up what reviews are available for it, checking out the customer reviews on sites that sells the gun, ect. From what I have read, it is a reliable and well built gun.

My question is what do you guys think about this gun? If anyone has owned this gun, I would really much like to know everything about it, the pros, the cons, the interals, any suggested upgrades, ect.

The A&K guns have pretty decent externals, but plan on giving the internals at least a once over, and possibly replacing some parts.

I have the fullsize, not the URX and I loves it. I needed only 1 shim and a lower spring (came shooting 450) to make it right. Plan on replacing the barrel and hopup bucking/nub as well, but it doesn't need it that bad.

Ya I know the spring was going to need downgrading to an M120 instead of the M130 that comes in the gun. What about the barrel and hopup system needs replacing? Just not as good of quality that it could be?

Yea, It was ok, but I noticed shots were hooking a bit to the left after about 75ft. New barrel/hopup bucking/nub fixed that.

That could have been just my gun. My old CA SCAR-L did the same thing when I got it (only to the right) so I had to replace the barrel.
