G&G, CA, KWA, TM, G&P, Who has the BEST full metal M4?

Postby malik » Thu Mar 25, 2010 2:41 pm

Which company has the best model of M4? Also which of their models of M4s would you consider best? For example, CA's array of M4s, G&G's GR16 series and what not. Last thing, I am asking about guns preferably under $300.

I am not asking about sportline models, combat machines, or plastica versions. Full metal M4s ONLY.

Asked and answered, but here's the short version.

G&P is nice if you like quality externals and don't mind working on your own AEG.

CA is nice if you like quality, performance, and not a bad price.

G&G is nice if you like 'Greedy Island' logos and like the particular styles available.

KWA is nice if you only want to use KWA parts.

I like the G&P and recommend the CA.

CA if you like nice stock guns that are stable platforms to upgrade on. Cant go wrong with CA.
Kwa if you like to upgrade since they have many 8mm and 9mm bearing gearboxes. And they last an eternity

KWA are great but you have to realize the only parts you can change are basically the barrel, spring and motor.

Anything else you pretty much need to stick with KWA parts because they do not play well with others.

On the other hand, you don't really have any need to make any other sort of changes to a KWA gun to have it running beautifully.

Also, if you want real trades, then KWA is not the brand for you.

I would say G&G or CA for your price range of $300 or lower, sense I assume you will need extra mags, battiers, and ect.

Personly I would get the KWA if you got all the other stuff.
Im down, but i'm not out.

I personally love G&P for the variety and external quality they push out. While they are at times a bit spendy, some of their models are pretty good deals. They have ARs with URXes, Daniel Defense RIS replicas, vltor replicas, etc.

I've also heard VFC's SR15/16 series are good, although those are spendy

Ignoring the $300 price point, the CA X Series M4's are better than the G&G GR16's in just about every way (have owned both, sold the G&G). The CA's have trades, and the finish quality is superior. My 2009 PMC X with a TB inner barrel shoots circles around the GR16 I had (upgraded with a stronger spring). Also, CA crane stocks take a battery easier than the G&G (at least for me). My only complaint on the CA is that it makes a lame springy sound when fired.

Well you kept saying model. So i'm going to be focusing on externals. The G&P's and CA's don't have bolt catches, the cocking lever doesn't open the dust cover but the externals are great. I have nada experience with G&G's but i know the kwa's don't look the best.

let me make a chart type thing. i'm going to have to exclude G&G. sorry

looks G&P>CA>KWA

performance KWA>CA>G&P

please note that all three are great replicas.

go CA

G&Ps are just as nice, but they tend to be more expensive.

KWAs are horribly overrated, and they have crappy hop-ups that you can't do much about.

The new KWA hopup is actually quite nice.
