G&G GR25 Problem

My friend has a G&G GR-25 and "we" are having problems with it.

I know this is a version 2 gearbox and is capable of firing on fully auto....

This being said I know the GR-25 is not meant to go fully auto. As you have guessed by now for some reason my friends gun is going fully auto while on semi auto....

This leads to my question....

1. What could be causing this? and how is it fixed?
2. how much damage could this have done to the gearbox?
