Trigger Locking Up

Postby k3gn3123512 » Fri Apr 02, 2010 5:17 pm

I was playing today and a bit later into the game my trigger locked up and was really hard to shoot. After a while Semi automatic even locked up completly and started to click when i pressed the trigger. Can anyone explain why this happens when I play. I have the G&P Magpul PTS MOE. This has happened since the first time I played.

Sounds similar to what my KWA did.

Thing is that it works fine when I let it rest for a while and the trigger reset itself. I might have to take it in to a tech. (I would prefer not they take so long to do it)

Yeah but it's better to get it done right then to do it yourself and screw it up...

But I guess you have to start somewhere.

Yeah I am not sure. I think I'll let a tech fix it and then I'll play around with a boneyard AEG.

Try switching it to full auto. Shoot a 3-4 round burst and switch it back, usually that does the trick when my semi "locks up".

The spring on the trigger may have come out of the little pin-hole, or the trigger is caught on the plastic that moves back and forth with the coper contact to the electrical leads. This same thing just happened to me. You probably have to take the gear box apart and make sure all the springs are in the right place.

That normally does the trick for it too to make the trigger less hard.

I will have to go with Rico's suggestion because that seems to make the most sense right now.
