Most reliable AUG

Postby Deathlycobra » Sat Aug 21, 2010 3:44 am

Before deciding on a AUG, I wanted to find one which would be the most reliable. I want to try and get my hands on a Classic Army one but I'm ready to listen on other options. I've handled the RS (Civilian of course) AUG and love the feel of it. Also I was going to start a aussie loadout soon so I want the best AUG for my buck.

Having handled the RS version as well as owning the Classic Army AUG A2 the replica doesnt even compare. The foregrip was horrible and after doing research I found that this was the case for almost all the brands. The body felt creaky and the charging handle on mine got shot and I was unable to pull it back. The only way to get the gearbox out is to bang the back end on a book or something soft until it falls out. One of my biggest complaints was the range/accuracy. I had upgraded the barrel to a 550mm 6.01 and had installed an H-nub and a new bucking and still wasnt getting very good range. Probably a defect but it was brand new. The last thing to mention was the price of magazines, $35 per mag seemed a bit much.

I would go with a JG. With a little work and care it can be a great replica. I have also been across the CA and was not surprised to find the quality not so great like everyone gloats.

This.

I actually got a CA aug from Aonw way back in the day, needless to say it was a lemon. And the piston got ripped to shreds. However being the good business they are I explained to them and got a Re-fund, but bought an E1 from them instead.

Our CA AUG 1 has been issue free.
