My friend has an ARES Tar-21 in tan (didn't want to pay an extra $150 for the crappy MARS sight).

Anyways, he really had to fuss with the hop up to get it to shoot properly, and ended up replacing the bucking off the get-go because it would jam. Besides that he has really enjoyed it, and it is one solid motherf**ker.

If you ever bother actually looking into getting a Tar, don't even think about the TSI version; it is 25% bigger than the real thing, is a hollow P.O.S. and is all around a QC disaster. Stick with an ARES.

Just a quick question, since TAR stands for tavor assault rifle, should we really be saying tavor TAR 21
forgive my ignorance, it happens to everyone.

Either or, I think. And this really is something Google is for....

Regardless, here we go. I've got a friend up here that owns one of the FDE ones (the Mars sight on the black ones is rubbish), and that thing is solid. The only problem he's run in to (after 2 months or so) is the hop up bucking, like G36 said his friend did. Other than that, no major problems thus far. But if you want a TAR-21 replica, I'd get the FDE one, as the Mars sight blows, and to my knowledge Ares isn't making a black one without a Mars sight.

From what I've seen and heard, I think that the Ares TAR-21 is well worth the money.

Also, review on Arnies: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/i ... 68463&st=0

Link doesn't work for me.
