Removing Flash Hiders

Hey guys, I have a CA M15A4 and a KWA G36 that I want to remove the flashhiders from. I'm putting a silencer on them, but anyways. I took the screw out but cannot seem to get the flashhider itself to twist off. Is it clockwise, or counterclockwise? I figured counterclockwise, but its not working so... Thanks for your help! :D

If you have the 4 prong plastic flash hider then just take a hack saw blade and saw down between the prongs on opposite sided then when you feel you have gone far enough put some needle nose pliers in between the prongs and pull the handles apart. It should break the flash hider in half and remove it. It worked for me.

The CA one is glued. I have found the best way to remover glued on flash hiders is to take the inner barrel out and stick it in a pot of boiling water, then take a towel over the end and unscrew it. That's what I did to my CA m15.

I took a razor blade and cut around underneath mine. Came off nicely.

Put it in boiling water for a few, then use a crescent wrench to twist it off. If that dosen't work, you'll have to use Nocte's mustard method.

Don't forget to remove the allen screw if it has one.

nail polish remover if its full metal then repaint it. if its plastic.. i would boil it in ht water for a few

Most AEG barrels are 14mm- threading, thus you will need to turn it clockwise in order to remove it. As some other people said in the thread, boiling water helps in some cases.

ahm because in some countries it is not a Federal Offense like in the US?
